U is for Untied
For the month of April, all of my "A to Z" posts are directly related to my writing: the markets where I submit my work, in particular. Today, we take a look at another paying fiction market: Untied Shoelaces of the Mind. Here’s what the editor would like to see:
"I want the writing we publish to be so good and the stories so unique that we can showcase our Issues for years to come, while we intend to publish a new issue every three to six months. I want fiction so dark, twisted, or just plain tasty that I lose sleep after reading them. We're going to try and include a mix of every category of story. We aim to publish fiction that stirs the mind and awakens the heart. Or, something scary! It doesn't have to be genre fiction for us to be happy, but at the same time, we're a genre market. We love mind benders and stories that make you think. Submit genre or literary stories between 100-2,000 words."
Pro: a paying market (3 cents per word up to $30), online submission form
Con: none known at this time
I made my first Untied Shoelaces submission a few days ago with "Charley vs. RealiTV", my story from Write1Sub1 Week 10. Fingers crossed that it's unique enough for them.
Thanks for visiting; enjoy the next "U" stop on your A to Z tour!
