Noveling + Agent Search Update
Here's a rundown on how my novel submissions are going:
Westward, Tally Ho! - 125 agents queried, 6 requests for partial/full manuscripts, no takers yet.
After the Sky - 130 agents queried so far, 5 requests for partial/full manuscripts, no takers yet.
BackTracker - 90 agents queried, 6 requests for partial/full manuscripts, no takers yet. One was so close I could taste the thrill of victory. But alas, no. Currently with Baen Books; awaiting their decision.
Those Who Wait - 110 agents queried so far, 7 requests for partial/full manuscripts, no takers yet.
Madame Antic's Hotel Grotesque - 6 publishers queried so far, no takers yet. I skipped the agent circuit for this one; we'll see how it goes. Samhain Publishing has it now, and I'm awaiting their decision.
Double Murders are Twice as Bad - 140 agents queried, 2 requests for partial/full manuscripts so far.
It's definitely been my year for the query. I've contacted more agencies in 2015 than I ever have in a single year before: 230 and counting. But if subbing short stories has taught me anything, I've learned there's always a home somewhere out there for my work. I just have to find the right one.
